Mohammed Issahaku Saha Naa, a Financier of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Nanton Constituency of the Northern Region has called for unity in the party, following the NPP's election defeat last year.

He urged party supporters to see themselves as brothers and sisters, rather than rivals.

"I use this opportunity to call on all party faithful, particularly my supporters, to let go of past differences and come together as one united front. From today onwards, let us see each other not as rivals but as brothers and sisters fighting for the same [course]" Saha Naa said in a letter addressed to the Nanton Constituency Chairman of the NPP, dated May 3 and sighted by GhanaWeb's Northern Region correspondent.

The letter was written to Chairman Inusah, the Nanton NPP Constituency Chairman to commend him on his handling of matters surrounding the suspension of Saha Naa and some 33 others in March 2025.

Saha Naa, whose suspension triggered anger in the constituency, leading to the locking up of the constituency office of the NPP has now been lifted after his appearance at the party's disciplinary committee.

Expression deep satisfaction in the processes leading to his reinstatement, the NPP Financier and former Constituency Treasurer Aspirant said the constituency executives on the committee conducted themselves with integrity and high sense of responsibility.

"Party members may recall that some months ago, I was among a group of party members who were suspended from the party. In line with the provisions of our party constitution, I was invited
to appear before the disciplinary committee, and I respectfully honoured the invitation. I must state, without hesitation, that throughout the process, the constituency executives led by you,
Chairman Inusah, conducted yourselves with integrity, fairness, and a high sense of responsibility. At no point did I feel that the process was vindictive, malicious, or intended to discredit those of us who found ourselves in such unfortunate circumstances" he said in the statement.

Saha Naa added "Your resolve to bring every member on board, irrespective of past differences, is a clear indication of your deep commitment to the party's
growth and electoral success."

He also commended the Chair of the Northern Regional Disciplinary Committee of the party for his "professional, impartial, and constructive" handling of the process.
