The deal that the United States and Iran struck last month to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and negotiate over Tehran’s nuclear program was merely “a test,” President Donald Trump said Monday, dismissing what he said weeks ago was a “great deal” that could lead to broader peace across the Middle East.
