Police Subdue Talisman-Clad Suspect Following Attack at Agona Amenfi Palace

A dramatic confrontation between police and an armed suspect clad in a traditional smock and adorned with talismans at the Agona Amenfi Palace in the Western Region ended with the suspect being shot and arrested after he allegedly attacked a palace messenger who had been sent to retrieve a ceremonial hoe for a sod-cutting ceremony.
The incident, which disrupted the event for a new maternity ward, reportedly began when the suspect prevented the messenger from entering the palace, leading to a violent altercation.
The ensuing standoff with police ended after officers shot and subdued the suspect. Both the suspect and the injured messenger were taken for medical treatment, while investigations continue.
