President Trump personally called FIFA President Gianni Infantino to review suspension of top US team World Cup goal scorer Folarin Balogun, NYT reports.
His red card has since been reversed, allowing him to play against Belgium.
After Balogun’s one-match suspension was lifted, President Donald Trump thanked FIFA on Truth Social for “doing what was right” and reversing what he called “a great injustice.” Balogun is now eligible to face Belgium in the Round of 16.
