Former G4S security guard Kwabena Kissi has been sentenced to 40 months in prison after posing as a cash collection officer and fraudulently obtaining Β£117,200 from a Santander UK branch in Brixton.
Prosecutors said the Ghanaian man entered the bank wearing his former G4S uniform and convinced staff he was carrying out a legitimate cash collection before making off with the money.
Following the incident, he fled to Ghana, where he remained for nearly four years. He was arrested upon his return to the UK at Gatwick Airport and later pleaded guilty to fraud before being sentenced.
