New Dates Announced for the Burial of Apostle Emeritus Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka

The former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has announced updated dates for the burial and funeral rites of the late Apostle Emeritus Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. The decision follows consultations with family elders and leadership of the Kristo Asafo Church.
Initially scheduled for June 25, 2026, the ceremonies will now take place on July 30 and 31, 2026.
According to Madam Safo, the late industrialist and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission will be laid to rest at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region.
The main funeral service is expected to draw thousands of mourners and admirers to Independence Square in Accra on July 31, where a state-style farewell will be held in honor of the renowned inventor, entrepreneur, and religious leader. A thanksgiving service will follow the next week in Kumasi.
