Update on the Kpong–Somanya Highway Project
The contractor working on the Kpong–Somanya Highway in the Krobo Land area has made significant progress as of this morning, Sunday, June 7, 2026. Works have advanced to the Agormanya Market area, where the old road surface is currently being scraped off to allow for ground preparation ahead of the laying of a new surface.
Motorists are kindly advised to comply with the temporary diversions put in place to facilitate the smooth execution of the project.
For those familiar with the area and travelling from Odumase towards Kpong, it is advisable to use the Old Police Station road through Ablotsi to Agormanor as an alternative route to avoid temporary delays and inconvenience.
