Mahama Pays Tribute at Brest Fortress, Promotes Investment Opportunities in Ghana

John Mahama laid a wreath at the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex in Belarus as part of my State Visit. As a historian, it was a deeply moving experience to stand on the very ground where, in 1941, heroic soldiers and civilians stood their ground against the Nazi invasion. Their โno step backโ resistance remains a global symbol of courage and resilience.
The complex is a very impressive symbol of patriotism and courage. May the memory of the heroes of the Brest Fortress continue to inspire love of our motherlands.
Beyond the history, my visit to Brest is about the future. During a special lunch hosted by the Governor, we discussed deepening the bilateral relations between Ghana and Belarus. There is immense potential for us to collaborate, particularly in the fields of agriculture, mining, and manufacturing.
I have extended an invitation to the Belarusian business community to explore the many investment opportunities in Ghana. It is my hope that the bond of friendship between our two nations continues to grow, rooted in mutual respect and shared prosperity.
