‘The real World Cup starts from the knockout stages and we want to be there’- Carlos Queiroz

📍 Ghana by iamkingvinis Jun 02, 2026

Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has outlined a clear and focused objective for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting that the team’s immediate priority is to secure qualification from the group stage before thinking about anything beyond that. The Portuguese tactician made the remarks after Ghana’s 1-1 draw against Wales national football team in Cardiff, a match that served as an important test ahead of the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Despite being denied victory by a late Welsh equaliser, Queiroz remained optimistic about his side’s prospects and stressed that success at the World Cup.
