Residents of Suhum in the Eastern Region are reeling from shock and grief after a 31-year-old man, Addo Naphtali, lost his life in a devastating motorcycle accident at Ali, within the Suhum Municipality.
The heartbreaking incident occurred as Naphtali was traveling with friends and mourners to Gojiase for the burial of a colleague. What began as a final tribute to the departed quickly turned into an unthinkable tragedy.
According to witnesses, Naphtali was performing daring motorcycle stunts—locally known as “Adaga”—along the Suhum–Ali road as part of the funeral rites. But in a cruel twist, the stunt went horribly wrong. He lost control of the motorcycle and crashed violently.
The impact was so severe that Naphtali died instantly. His body has since been deposited at the Suhum Government Hospital morgue, awaiting further procedures.
