‎On Sunday May 31, personnel of the Suhum Municipal Fire Station successfully managed a tanker spillage incident involving a DAF XF tanker at Misa Fuel Station, Ntoaso, along the Accra–Kumasi Highway. According to the Fire Service, the tanker, which was transporting shea butter oil from Tema to Techiman, developed a leakage after its discharge valve broke. This caused an estimated 50 tons of oil to spill onto the roadway.

Firefighters promptly responded, confirmed that no casualties were involved, and applied foam concentrate to contain the spill and secure the area. The swift intervention helped prevent further incidents, ensured the safe flow of traffic, and brought the situation under control without any injuries
