A shocking incident has unfolded at a popular restaurant where three women were reportedly left to clean the premises after a male companion they were with ran away without paying for their meals and drinks.
According to eyewitness accounts, the trio visited the restaurant with a man who placed orders for them, including alcoholic drinks. As the women consumed their drinks, the man allegedly took advantage of the situation.
“These three ladies came with a man who asked them to place their order and they took two Vody each,” one attendee, Barbara, explained. “After the man noticed they were drunk, he fled from the scene without settling the debt, leaving the three ladies behind.”
The total bill reportedly amounted to 600 Ghana cedis, with the man taking items valued at 100 cedis while the women’s own orders were worth 500 cedis.
Faced with the sudden predicament and unable to pay the accumulated cost, the women reportedly offered to work at the restaurant as cleaners to settle the debt. One of the restaurant workers described the scene as “humbling and chaotic,” with the women rolling up their sleeves to mop floors and wipe tables, attempting to make amends for circumstances that were partly out of their control.
The incident has sparked discussions online about personal responsibility, group dynamics, and the dangers of blindly trusting companions.
Many social media users sympathized with the women, noting that they were caught in an unfortunate situation due to someone else’s reckless behavior.
Others criticized the man’s actions, emphasizing that fleeing without paying is both illegal and unethical, regardless of the circumstances.
