On May 2, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a tragic collision occurred on the Kintampo-Techiman stretch between Manso and Tanoboase.
The accident involved a petrol tanker with the registration number (GT-8355-24) and a tipper truck (GT-5333-24).
According to eyewitnesses at the site, the incident occurred as the tanker attempted to overtake another vehicle, diverting into the path of the tipper truck.
The crash caused three verified deaths and three serious injuries.
Emergency personnel took the victims to Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
Personnel from several security agencies were present on the scene to control the situation and begin inquiries into the reason of the crash.
